The girl was subjected to a string of assaults after being taken from London to Ipswich, Norwich Crown Court heard. During the trial, jurors were told the men "set her up as a sex slave" and "used her for their pleasure". Surin Uddin, Mohammed Sheikh and Hamza Ali, all from east London, will be sentenced at a later date. All three were found guilty of conspiracy to traffic and supplying a class B drug to the child who was described as coming from a "troubled" family. Uddin, 28, of Bethnal Green, was also convicted of two counts of rape. Sheikh, 31, of Hackney, was convicted on a charge of causing a child to engage in sexual activity but cleared of two counts of rape. Ali, 38, of Waltham Forest, was found guilty of a sexual assault but not guilty of rape. Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones told the court the assaults were spread out over a four day period last year. The men had denied the offences but were found guilty by a jury after three days of deliberations. Abdul Hammed, 46, of Wellington Street, Ipswich, was cleared of supplying a class B drug and two counts of rape. The judge had earlier instructed the jury to find him not guilty of trafficking. |
