Dr Darryl Peel, Framlingham GP, dies after bonfire at home

Dr Darryl Peel, who was in his 50s, was at his house in Huntingfield near Halesworth when the incident happened on 6 February. He was airlifted to the specialist burns unit at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, but died two days ago. Framlingham Surgery, where he worked, said their thoughts were with his family and he would be greatly missed. Dr Charles Wright, senior partner at the Framlingham practice, said: "Despite the excellent care that he received, unfortunately Dr Peel was not able to recover from his extensive injuries. "Our thoughts are with his wife Susie and their three teenage children at this very sad time. "Dr Peel will be missed greatly by both staff and patients at the surgery." |
