Welsh government ministers have started work on their new portfolios after a surprise reshuffle by Mr Jones last Thursday.
Tackling poverty
The most high-profile change was Mr Drakeford taking over as health minister and replacing Lesley Griffiths, who was moved to the local government post.
Ms Griffiths carried out her first official engagement in the new job on Monday launching a new scheme in Newport to help improve the response from agencies to children who go missing.
Nobody was dropped from the cabinet and, apart from Mr Drakeford, the only other promotion to the top table was Alun Davies. He is the new minister for natural resources and food who was previously the deputy minister for agriculture.
Huw Lewis becomes the minister for communities and tackling poverty. His old role as housing and regeneration minister goes to Carl Sargeant.
John Griffiths moves from environment to culture and sport.
Mr Drakeford was elected Labour assembly member for Cardiff West in 2011 and was previously chairman of the assembly's cross-party health and social care committee.
