| Comedian Jim Davidson has been re-arrested over fresh allegations of sexual offences, it has emerged. He answered bail on Wednesday after he was held in January by detectives working on Operation Yewtree, the national investigation prompted by the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal. | |

| Davidson was arrested on 2 January in west London, along with a 53-year-old who was held in Hampshire. Speaking then, Davidson's solicitor, Henri Brandman, issued a statement to say he "vigorously denied" the allegations. Davidson and the 53-year-old answered bail on Wednesday and were re-released on bail until May. | |
