| A 14-year-old girl has been found dead at a house where a number of dogs were "out of control". | |
| Her body was discovered by armed police in a house in Atherton, near Wigan, at about 14:00 GMT. | |
| Greater Manchester Police said four dogs described as "aggressive and out of control" had since been put down. | |
| A fifth dog also in the house in Chaucer Grove was securely contained. An investigation into the incident is under way. | |
| The force said the animals were put down "humanely" by armed officers. | |
