Two teenage girls who were missing from their homes for 10 days have been found.

A police spokesman said Zoe Francis, 13, from Clydebank and Gillian Higgins, 14, from Drumchapel were discovered safe and well in the Wemyss Bay area.

On Thursday, the girls' mothers made tearful pleas for them to return home after a number of sightings of the teenagers were reported.

The girls are both pupils at St Columba's High School in Clydebank.
