One woman was killed in the crash on Friday, which left 20 others injured in a collision involving a lorry. One woman was killed and 20 others injured when the bus was in collision with a lorry on Friday morning, near junction 32 at Castleford.
The woman who died has been named locally as 19-year-old Bethany Jones, from South Elmsall, near Wakefield. The victim who died at the scene of the accident has been named by police as Bethany Jones, 18, from Pontefract.
The driver of the lorry was arrested following the crash near junction 32, at Castleford, at 11:30 BST. West Yorkshire Police said the lorry driver, arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving, has been bailed.
Crews from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, said it was the worst crash they had seen in years.
Staff from five stations attended the scene and found the minibus on its side.
Patients were treated at the scene before being taken to hospitals including Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield and Leeds General Infirmary.
At one stage six air ambulance were involved in dealing with casualties at the scene.
