The unrest was the first reported since March, when Buddhist-led violence swept the town of Meikthila, killing at least 43 people. The regional police chief, Win Naing, said at least 10 people were wounded Tuesday. Buddhist mobs overran two mosques and set over 100 homes ablaze in central Myanmar on Tuesday, killing one person and wounding at least nine other people. Residents said as many as 400 Buddhists rampaged through Okkan, about 70 miles north of Yangon, the nation’s main city.
