Version 0 of 1.

Three men thought to be involved in smuggling drugs into the UK are being sought by police.

Detectives want to speak to 40-year-old Jamie Spring, who is also known as Jamie Hall, Lee Smith, 40, and Christopher Mealey, 37.

The men are wanted in connection with importing cocaine worth millions of pounds from Europe.

The Met has launched an appeal to trace the men, who have connections to Spain and Cyprus.

Other members of the gang are due to be sentenced at Kingston Crown Court later.

They were arrested in January last year when 24lb (11kg) of cocaine with an estimated street value of £1.5m was imported into the UK by a Northamptonshire-based haulage company.

John Reed, 65, of Southwark, south London, was the mastermind behind the scheme, which had an estimated annual turnover of £25m.

He will be sentenced for conspiring to supply Class A drugs with another criminal associate, Kevin Jones, 51, of Welling in Kent.

Three others - Robert Greenhill, 62, of Dartford, Kent, Joseph McCorry, 52, of Welling, Kent, and Daniel Cheevers, 47, of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, were jailed last month.

Det Insp Grant Johnson said officers had been looking for Spring, Smith and Mealey since January last year but were "no closer to tracing them".
