Mystery man dies in collapse at Essex graveyard

A man has died after being found unconscious outside an Essex church, prompting an appeal by Essex Police to help identify him.

Church-goers and dog walkers spotted the man passed out next to St Lawrence's in Church Hill, Rowhedge, near Colchester at 09:00 BST.

He died shortly after arriving at Colchester General Hospital.

He is about 60, white, with short grey hair which is balding on top, and about 5ft 9in (1.75m) tall, police said.

He was wearing a khaki jacket, grey sports jumper, blue jogging bottoms and black walking boots, and only had a set of house keys on him.

Police said his death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
