Peterborough ditch bodies: Joanna Dennehy in court over triple murders

Joanna Dennehy, 30, of Peterborough, is accused of killing Kevin Lee, 48, Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, and John Chapman, 56, who were found 10 miles (16km) apart in Newborough and Thorney. The three men, who were discovered in March and April, died from stab wounds. Ms Dennehy was remanded in custody at Peterborough Magistrates' Court to attend Cambridge Crown Court on Friday. It is believed Mr Slaboszewski was killed on 19 March while Mr Lee and Mr Chapman were killed on 29 March. Two other people have been charged in connection with the case. Leslie Layton, 36, was charged with perverting the course of justice and remains in custody. He will appear at Peterborough Crown Court on 20 June. Robert Moore, 55, has been charged with assisting an offender and will appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 1 July. Two other men, aged 23 and 32, were arrested in connection with the case and are currently on bail. |
