Manchester United have grown to dominate the Premiership during the 26-year reign of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Here we have plotted the First Division and Premiership wins, draws and losses, season by season since he became manager in 1986.

During the past 26 years Sir Alex has seen his team score 2,762 goals and let in 1,359, in various league, cup and championship games.

He has a win rate of 65% in the Premier League (60% overall), second only to Jose Mourinho's record 70%, according to Opta Sports.

Silverware

Manchester United's success has not been limited to the Premier League.

They have taken Champions League and FA Cup titles - winning the famous "triple" in 1998/99. They have, however, secured fewer victories in international competitions.
