A man has been given a four-year football banning order following disorder at a football match where a player was punched.

James Read, 24, of Lyngate Close, Stockport, pleaded guilty to going on to the area of play and to assault by beating on 20 April.

Kidderminster Harriers defender Lee Vaughan was punched after a small group of fans invaded the Aggborough pitch.

Stockport County lost the game 4-0 and were relegated.

Play was halted for 31 minutes following the pitch invasion and police said the disorder, in which Vaughan was punched, involved a "small number of away fans".
