Post mortem due after body find Body probe becomes murder inquiry

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on the body of a man aged in his 40s found in Belfast. A murder inquiry has been launched following the discovery of a man's body in south Belfast, the police have said.
One person was arrested after the discovery of the man's body, which police are treating as suspicious. The body was found at a property at Penrose Street, off the Ormeau Road, at about 1400 BST on Wednesday.

SDLP MP Alastair McDonnell said the victim "may have been of east European origin".
"My understanding is that there was quite a bit of blood about the place and he may have had head injuries," he said.
