A woman has died following a road accident in County Donegal. A 56-year-old woman has died following a road accident in County Donegal.
Two cars were in collision just across the border from Pettigo in County Fermanagh. The accident was reported to police at about 1425 BST. Two cars were in collision just across the border from Pettigo in County Fermanagh. The accident happened at about 1330 BST.
Two people were taken to hospital in Sligo. It is understood that all the casualties are from the Pettigo area. A man who was a front-seat passenger in her car was treated in hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle escaped injury.
The road was closed as a result of the crash and traffic between Belleek and Pettigo is being diverted via the Boa Island Road and Kesh. The name of the woman who died has not yet been released.
