Jacob Cockle, 28, may have been sucked under the water by the swirling current in Carnsew Pool, on the River Hayle in Cornwall. The surfer and photographer was discovered face down in the water, police said. He was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro but was later pronounced dead.
