A force spokesman said: "We've had had several calls... including a number of sightings around the Wrexham and Chester area. The investigation team is currently following them up." Supt Nav Malik, from West Mercia Police said the force had received more than 100 messages about sightings of Georgia and the van.
He said: "I cannot go into detail at this time but the sighting of the van is of potential significance.
"We are following up on that today along with another three sightings of the van which were phoned in after Crimewatch."
"We know [the van] was heading towards the main arterial routes from the Wrexham area at about 5pm on Monday. We also know that at about 10.30pm the vehicle was at Deeside, Queensferry, Cheshire, heading north."
