The pilot is reported to have escaped with minor injuries. An emergency system on board the single-engine Cirrus was deployed, releasing a parachute to lower the plane down.
A police spokesperson said the pilot, a 76-year-old man from London, suffered minor injuries in the crash and the homeowner was uninjured.

"Nearby houses have been evacuated as a precaution while the fire service make the scene safe," added a police spokesperson.
The scene of the accident is 2.5 miles (4km) from Gloucestershire Airport, at Staverton.
