A car has gone over a cliff on the north coast of Cornwall, Falmouth Coastguard said. A man has died after a car went over a cliff on the north coast of Cornwall near Newquay harbour, police have confirmed.

Falmouth Coastguard is co-ordinating the rescue. Coastguards believe two people have been hurt. Witnesses said there was one person in the vehicle. It happened in an area known locally as Tea Caverns.
The extent of their injuries is not yet known. Philip Trebilcock, a fisherman working at the harbour, said the car fell about 100 ft.
He said: "The incident happened near the old lifeboat house, just near the Headland Hotel.
"Two lifeboats are in attendance. It looks like the car has come a long way down the cliff.
"It's not near the water. The tide is going out.
"I think it's fallen about 100 feet."
