Version 0 of 1.

Six people were injured in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, when three grenades were fired at a building in the city centre, a government minister said.

The incident took place at a block housing nightclubs and offices not far from the United Nations headquarters in Lebanon, police said.

Windows and cars were damaged in the attack, which happened at about 0230 on Sunday (2330 GMT on Saturday).

It is the third incident in the Lebanese capital in 10 days.

Acting Interior Minister Ahmed Fatfat linked the attack to two other grenade assaults on police stations earlier this month.

"It is clear that there is an attempt to ignite security strife in the country," he said.

He said people could try to cause trouble with the army deployed in the south of the country.

About 15,000 Lebanese troops are now stationed along the border with Israel following the UN-brokered ceasefire that ended fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
