He was found guilty of murder and attempted murder, on Tuesday.
The court heard Miss Ashitey had been a wheelchair user after falling from a building in a failed suicide attempt.
She had hoped to be able to walk again for her marriage to Mr Gordon, in a ceremony planned for August last year.
However, the jury was told that after Mr Gordon tried to act as middle man in a £100,000 drugs deal, he was shot in the back of the head.
Miss Ashitey was then shot because she recognised Mr Gordon's attacker, jurors were told.
