After the meeting, parent Jan Powell told the BBC she hoped managers and investigators would see "the way forward is to put service-users first".
Truro and Falmouth Conservative MP Sarah Newton said it was "good the council has immediately responded".
She said: "People's care concerns in such centres are now taken really seriously to make sure people get the care that all of us expect them to receive."
