A bomb disposal team has been sent to Bearsden after a gardener dug up what they believe may be an unexploded WWII device. A suspected bomb alert in East Dunbartonshire has turned out to be a false alarm, police said.
The resident told police they had uncovered the suspicious object in West Chapelton Drive at about 13:20. Explosives experts were called to an address in West Chapelton Drive, Bearsden, at about 13:20 after a gardener thought he had dug up an unexploded World War II bomb.
