The scene has been cordoned off by the pub. The street has been cordoned off while investigations continue.
North Wales Police said they are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have been in the pub around the time of the incident. Police said it is believed the man received fatal injuries inside the pub.
The force said anyone with information should call the major incident room on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on Wednesday afternoon and the coroner has been informed.
Senior investigating officer Det Supt Graham Talbot said: "I am appealing for witnesses who were either in the public house between 6pm yesterday and 1.30am today, or in that vicinity - to come forward and provide police with their details."
