The nine-year-old boy was attacked on Monday at the Carnegie Skate Park in Shipley, West Yorkshire. He is said to be in a stable condition in hospital. The 26-year-old is also suspected of chasing a young girl through a garden in Shipley, West Yorkshire.
Police later found the body of 84-year-old Louisa Denby at her home in Prospect Mount. She had been stabbed. Louisa Denby, 84, was found dead at her home on Monday by police investigating the stabbing of a nine-year-old boy at a nearby skate park.
A 26-year-old Shipley man, who police said was related to the woman, is being held in connection with both crimes. Police said the boy, who is in a stable condition in hospital, was attacked for no reason and with no warning.
