Version 0 of 1.

A former Ipswich Town footballer accused of assaulting his wife is to face trial.

Guirane N'Daw, 29, is currently a free agent but was on loan at the Suffolk club from St Etienne at the time of the alleged offence in March.

The Senegal international, who lives in Neptune Square in Ipswich, denies the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He will return to Ipswich Crown Court to stand trial on 19 August.

As part of his bail conditions, Mr N'Daw had to pay a £20,000 surety and was ordered not to contact his wife.
