Two dead in Hounslow flat fire Woman dies jumping from flat fire in Heston

Two people have died and two are being treated in hospital following a flat fire in west London. A woman died after she jumped from the second floor of a flat in west London to escape a fire in which a man was also found dead.
A woman, believed to be aged 30, was found injured in the street close to the property in Church Road, Hounslow, and pronounced dead. A man's body was found inside the property in Heston, while another two men leapt to safety from the building.
A second person was found dead inside the flat during a search by firefighters, Scotland Yard said. They received multiple injuries and are "stable" in hospital following the fire in Church Road at about 01:30 BST.
About 60 firefighters battled to control the blaze, which has now been extinguished. Another 30 people were evacuated from flats and neighbouring properties. Police said the cause was "suspicious".

The fire is believed to have started in a flat above a shop before spreading to the roof and neighbouring flats. A woman, believed to be aged 30, was found injured in the street close to the property and pronounced dead.
About 50 people who were evacuated from the flats and nearby properties are being moved to emergency accommodation by the local authority. Two men aged 18 and 37 are being treated in hospital in west London for injuries which are said to be "not life-threatening".
