A man who was cycling in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh has died following a collision with an ambulance. A cyclist has died after a collision with an ambulance in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.
The crash happened on the A4 Dublin Road at about 01:15 BST on Tuesday. The crash happened in the Castlecoole area, on the A4 Dublin Road at about 01:10 BST on Tuesday. The man died at the scene from his injuries.
The ambulance crew was transporting a patient to the South West Acute Hospital at the time of the collision.
As a result, more NIAS staff were sent to the scene to treat both the patient and the injured cyclist.
A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said its staff would continue to co-operate with the police investigation into the crash.
"The thoughts of all within NIAS are with the family of the deceased and we would like to offer our sincerest condolences.
"We will also seek to support the crew involved in this harrowing incident," the spokesman said.
