"There will be a police presence there in terms of warning people about the inherent dangers of going into open water," he said.
"We also need to send a message out to people that actually it's dangerous to swim in open water.
"It's going to be another hot day today. Take care out there and don't be tempted to go into this sort of lake or open water unless you are very, very sure about where you are swimming.
