A man has died after he was attacked in the street, Lancashire Police have said. A 47-year-old man has died after he was attacked in the street as he walked home with friends and family.

Detectives said two men had been arrested in connection with the investigation and were helping police with inquiries. A man, 32, from St Annes, was arrested on suspicion of murder and a man, 45, has been held on suspicion of assault.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out later.
Det Supt Andy Murphy said: "This is a tragic incident and an investigation is under way to establish the circumstances of exactly what happened."
