His arrest is the 71st by officers under Operation Elveden, the Metropolitan Police's investigation into alleged payments made to public officials by journalists.
Among those arrested so far are journalists, prison officers, police officers, customs officers and NHS workers.
Two other strands of the investigation are looking into alleged phone hacking and privacy breaches.
