Steven John Davies, 21, of Neath, faces racially aggravated criminal damage, racially aggravated actual bodily harm and assault by beating charges. Swansea magistrates heard he broke a window at St Anne's Islamic centre, Tonna, before attacking a husband and wife who confronted him. He was remanded to appear at the city's crown court on 24 September. Mr Davies was accused of smashing the double glazed window in the early hours of Friday. No plea was made and he spoke only to confirm his identity, age and address. |
