A search for a man missing after falling into the sea on the north Antrim coast has been called off for the night and is to resume on Sunday morning. Both Portrush lifeboats were launched and searched the water along with other local vessels, a police helicopter and an Irish naval helicopter from Sligo. The search involved both Portrush lifeboats, Coleraine and Ballycastle coastguard teams, a police helicopter and an Irish coastguard helicopter.
A number of other local vessels also joined in.

The Irish naval helicopter helped rescue the man. The Irish coastguard helicopter winched the man to safety and he was taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.
Speaking about the Ramore Head incident, Robert Cardwell, Portrush Lifeboat operations manager, said: "Various items of clothing etc have been found in the water, but at the minute no person has been found. He had been reported in the water shortly after 18:00 BST.
