A number of officers are at the upper entrances to the centre at the corner of New Street and High Street, while a force helicopter circles the area. Officers are still stationed at all the entrances to the shopping centre, according to a BBC reporter.
Marked and unmarked police cars are parked in the area, and there are officers "all around the city centre" according to a BBC reporter. The force helicopter was also circling the area and a number of police vehicles, marked and unmarked, remain around New Street and High Street.
