Version 0 of 1.

Three small bombs went off in eastern Myanmar, killing one person and wounding six, the latest in a series of unexplained explosions. The blasts in Namkham, on the northern tip of Shan State, occurred late Wednesday and early Thursday, said a duty officer at the local police station who asked to remain anonymous because he was not authorized to speak to the news media. At least nine bombs have been set off in the past week, with low-intensity explosions in Yangon, Mandalay, Taungoo, Sagaing and Namkhan leaving 3 people dead and 10 wounded. The police have arrested four people, but it remains unclear who is responsible for the explosions. The government is still fighting Kachin rebels and other scattered ethnic groups, and the country has been struggling with sectarian violence between Buddhists and Muslims.
