A security alert is continuing at Nutts Corner Roundabout near Templepatrick in County Antrim. Two pipe bombs have been discovered during a security alert in County Antrim.
Army explosives experts were called to the scene following the discovery of a holdall at the side of the road on Friday. The bombs, which were in a bag, were found by a police patrol in a lay-by on the Belfast Road at Nutts Corner, on Friday evening.
The Belfast Road between Nutts Corner Roundabout and Ballykennedy Road has reopened after being closed for a time. They were examined by Army bomb disposal experts who made them safe.
Police remain at the scene. Both devices have been taken away for further forensic examination and all roads have been reopened. Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
