Man denies transsexual's murder

A man has denied murdering a transsexual prostitute who was found stabbed to death in her central London flat more than 10 years ago.

James Hopkins, 41, of Bawn Drive, Leeds, is accused of murdering Robyn Browne, 23, at her home in Gosfield Street, Marylebone.

The body of the victim, born James Errol Browne, was discovered in February 1997.

Hopkins was remanded in custody to face trial in June next year.
