Three people are in hospital after an explosion in a turbine at a Tata Steel site, according to Humberside Fire Service. A blaze in a gas turbine at a Tata Steel site left three people suffering burns.
The blast happened at about 02:00 GMT at the company's plant in Scunthorpe. The fire happened about 02:00 GMT at a power station at the Scunthorpe plant, the company said.
The three casualties have been taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital with "radiated burns". The three injured people were taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital with burns but were released after treatment.
The fire service said the situation was now under control and all people at the site have been accounted for. Tata said the cause of the blaze, which was tackled by an on-site crew and local firefighters, was being investigated.
