Paul Parkin, of Birmingham, who paints under the name of Jinxy, is showcasing his work at the city's Custard Factory. The 52-year-old said: "It all came about by accident. "I spilt some coffee and rubbed it with my fingers. It just triggered the idea, so I put down my paint and picked up the coffee, and it worked." Since then, Paul has continued to create an impressive collection of artwork. "I wanted to bring a different style of art to Birmingham," he said. Paul said he hopes his work will inspire other local artists to open exhibitions, creating a new generation of Birmingham artists. |
