A man is due to appear in court in connection with a crash that killed a teenager in Fife. A man has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a crash that killed a teenager.
Kristoffer Brister, 19, died in the accident in Leven at about 01:45 on Saturday. Kristoffer Brister, 19, died when the Peugeot 106 in which he was a passenger hit a wall in Leven, Fife, at about 01:45 on Saturday.
Mr Brister, who was from Leven, was a passenger in a Peugeot 106 car that collided with a wall in Barron Terrace. Lee Hamilton, 22, of Methil in Fife, appeared on petition at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
He was seriously injured and died at the scene. A 22-year-old man has been arrested and is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. He was also charged with causing death by driving with no licence and no insurance.
Mr Brister's family said he had been a special person to everyone who knew him. Mr Hamilton faced a further charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He made no plea or declaration and was released on bail. The case was continued for further examination.
Mr Brister died at the scene in the town's Barron Street.
