Woman bailed after 'dangerous' M5 wrong-way drive

A 26-year-old woman who allegedly drove the wrong way along the M5 motorway in the West Midlands has been released on bail.

The woman, from Halesowen, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving on 4 December.

She was detained by officers after they spotted a car leaving the M5 via an entry slip road in West Bromwich.

The driver has been bailed until a date in January, police said. The force is appealing for witnesses.
