Ms Duncan is a policy officer for disability group Inclusion Scotland, Ms Whitefield is the former Airdrie and Shotts MSP and Ms Lennon works for shadow energy minister Tom Greatrex. She has been an active Labour member since 1988 and worked as a personal assistant to Rachel Squire, MP for Dunfermline West, from 1992 until 1999.
