Teenager hit by car on Dumfries to Lockerbie road named | |

A teenager who died in hospital after being struck a car in the early hours of Sunday morning has been named. | |
Andrew Jardine, who was 19 and from Dumfries, was hit by the vehicle on the A709 Dumfries to Lockerbie road. | |
The collision happened at about 05:30 near the entrance to the Lochar Moss recycling site. | |
Police said Mr Jardine was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary but was pronounced dead a short time later. | |
