More than 40 firefighters are tackling a large fire at a commercial garage in Newport. More firefighters are being called in to tackle a large fire at the site of a commercial garage in Newport.

There are six pumps at the scene as well as two hydraulic platforms and two water bowsers at the building which is said to be "well alight". The building is "well alight" and the fire service said the first 999 call reported flames through the roof.
A "water curtain" is being used to protect buildings nearby with 46 firefighters on the scene and more personnel being called in.
Crews from Duffryn, Maindee, Malpas, Cwmbran, Aberdare and Caerphilly are attending the two-storey building fire with firefighters from Roath, Barry and Cardiff Central stations.
There are six pumps at the scene, two hydraulic platforms and two water bowsers with 42 firefighters and four officers.
Another two crew will arrive shortly which will bring the number to 48.
