Driver killed in multi-vehicle crash on M5 near Bristol

One man has been killed and another seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the M5 near Bristol.

The 39-year old driver of a transit van died when his vehicle hit a Range Rover just before Junction 15 near the Almondsbury interchange at about 18:15 GMT on Friday.

The motorway was closed for seven hours while emergency services attended the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses.
