"Due to the nature of these searches, we would request the public refrain from organising their own search activity at this stage to avoid the risk of jeopardising the investigation." "But, this is a critical time in our operation and I would ask the public to refrain from searching at the moment.
"We're concentrating our efforts on two areas; one is in the village of Upton, which is quite an extensive search area, the other is in the Lydalls Road area of Didcot, a more suburban area, which will cause quite a bit of disruption.
"There's lots of resources attached to this operation, but it's also important to note the family are receiving support from specialist officers."
