Police hunting for a convicted sex offender who disappeared last week have found suspected human remains in the River Colne near Huddersfield. | |

The remains were found in the river Colne adjacent to Colne Vale Road in Milnsbridge, just outside Huddersfield. | |
Supt Scott Wood, from West Yorkshire Police, said an underwater search team, dog teams and search officers were investigating the scene. | |
"The remains recovered from the river and its banks will now be forensically examined and inquiries are currently ongoing to identify them," he said. | |
An address on Manchester Road, Huddersfield, was also being searched as part of the investigation, he added. |
