Pipe bomb found in west Belfast alert

The device was found in the garden of a house in Glenmeen Close at about 11:00 GMT on Monday. A number of homes were evacuated and the road was closed for several hours while Army bomb disposal officers examined the device. The pipe bomb was made safe and has been taken away for further examination. The alert has now ended. |
