Gale to severe gale force winds have continued to affect the Western Isles and the west coast of Scotland. Thousands of properties have been left without power after gale force winds hit the west of Scotland.
About 6,000 properties have been left without power in the SSE area, mainly around Oban, Thurso and the Western Isles. SSE said about 6,000 of its customers were offline, mainly around Oban, Thurso and the Western Isles.
