A 33-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering his former girlfriend and her friend in an east Belfast flat last week. Police investigating a double murder in east Belfast have been granted another 24 hours to question a 32-year-old man.
The bodies of Caron Smyth, 40, and Finbarr McGrillen, 42, were found by police called to investigate a suspected burglary in Ravenhill Court. He was arrested on Thursday.
